Hello saba; You have 2 F.O cables connected by synchronization modules on the face of the redundant S7-400H CPUs. If you lose one, you are no longer redundant (you hve a single connection). There is a delay between the loss of redundancy and the declaration of a fault, so you have time to replace the synchronization modules (in maintenance, for example). Hello Daniel, thanks for your reply and also the document you have attached is a helpful one, however I still could not find reason for using two fiber optic cable whereas if one is removed redundant system loses its redundancy. Second is that something happened in our plant that if have followed based on attached document we might had a shutdown. sync module that its OK LED is off necessarily does not mean that it has problem and the other one might have problem while its LED OK is still on. although in program and online vies of hardware it shows what you see by LEDs. My final and same question is what is the point of using two fiber optic? |
