UPLOAD BACKUP PROBLEM FROM S71200 PLC

krishnakumar_eee Posts: 30 Rating: (2)	Hi , When ever i am taken upload backup from S71200, in the Hardware configuration signal modules address taking automatically some random value address. This is making me some confuse. What is the reason is notmatching with actucal input and output address for current running system. Each and every time i am changing manually all input and output address.Why it is not happening automatically like S7300.Otherwise any method is there resolve this issue.Currently i am TIA v10.5 sp2. My system detail-CPU1214C With regards, P.Krishnakumar

MrPaiva Silver Member Joined: 6/29/2010 Last visit: 4/13/2021 Posts: 112 Rating: (62)	Hello Mr. krishnakumar_eee, On TIA 10.5the upload not behind their hardware configurations such as HSC, clock memory,subnet maskand addresses are assigned the default.The hardware configurations must be made again after the upload.

If you are simply creating a backup of your PLC FROM your PLC, my question is "why"? The reason I ask is this... the program you downloaded to the PLC is stored on your computer. Back up that program to a zip file, put on a thumb drive or network storage or DVD or whatever, according to your company backup policies. That's exactly what is in the PLC. If you are saving the data from the PLC, there may be other options to just save the data for user input or recipe type data. If you must backup, you can create a shell project with the proper hardware (by copying your downloaded project, removing all the programming and tags), then go online and upload/copy the data from the PLC into your shell project. Then your hardware will be correct and match your uploaded software.
