Hi, open system control panel and goto "device Manager". Open "connections COM & LPT". Now connect the LOGO! USB cable to the PC and check in system control panel what COM Prot number is added. This is the Com-port number you need to select ir you want to connect to LOGO! via USB programming cable. If there is no change in the system control panel, then un-install a device with a COM-port number <COM10 and repeatethe prozedure. The virtual COM-Port handling in Windows is some time strange. PS: Don't use the cable at a USB-Port replicator. Hope this helps |

Hi There, I am using the combination from old type (by usb serial interface) and new type ethernet on a daily base. Your problem is that windows like to change the com adress for the USB /serial driver. So go to device manager and find the com port number for the serial interface. Avoid using any non powered usb hub any direct connection is better. Then in "logosoft comfort" select interface by LOGO! cable and in the field to the right select the correct com port. This is a problem how windows is controlling old serial ports ...... I am trying to use only one USB port on my laptop and only for the usb/serial interface on this way the com port number is not reset |
