1200 wouldn't be a solution because I use STL on my library.

The memory issue is only happening on this project because I'm loading all the routes to the PLC. On next projects, the routes will be checked and started in the supervisory. So only the used routes will be dynamic loaded to PLC.

And since process can have different number of routes, elements, origins and destinys, it woulld be helpful to move dynamic size structures them to temp area.

If we need a larger CPU, we'll try the ET200SP I guess.

Smiffy, where did you find this information about the codes for Data Types, Memory Areas, etc?

I'm trying to move Data using the BLKMOV and pointers, but can't solve my problem of the correct local temp data for each called function.

I've posted on STEP 7 TIA Portal forum, but I'm still stuck on this.

I got my information out of the excellent book "Automating with STEP7 in STL and SCL" by Hans Berger. It is a great referenece book that I fully recommend.

In the mean time, here are the data types and memory area codes:-

Memory area codes (XXX.MemoryArea)
80 = Peripheral I/O (P)
81 = Inputs (I)
82 = Outputs (Q)
83 = Memory bits (M)
84 = Global data (DBX)
85 = Instance data (DIX)
86 = Temporary local data (L)
87 = Temporary local data of the previous block (V)

Thanks Smiffy, but my problem is a little trickier.

I've created an FC that sets up the Pointer to the variables I need and then I use the BLKMOV instruction. So, my process FB calls the FC and then calls the BLKMOV. Since I'm trying to move to the temp area of my FB, I can't seem to find the correct parameters for the memory area. Because when the BLKMOV is being processed, the actual "Previous Temporary Local Data" is the FC temp area, not the FB.

I've managed to move with pointers to DB areas and all else, but I can't seem to find the correct parameter for temporary area that is previous to the previous local data.
