Hello Victor; As qwazee stated, the question is which type of range do you need for your project. You can use Norm_X alone, or in combination with Scale_x, or create your own function to scale your analog input. Norm_X will read your numerical value from the analog input channel and transform it to a REAL value in a normalized range of 0.0-1.0, or 0.0-100.0 (percentage), for example. Scale_X will take that normalized value and change the range (and adapt the value) to something you need in your project, for example 3.0-15.0 psi, or 20.0-2000.0 gpm... Hi I use my own block based on SCALE FC which covers for 1. out of range indication + alarm 2. bipolar/unipolar signals 3. 1..5V/4..20mA - also it does ignore (allowed by 4..20mA standard) small negative values on raw value 4. temperature measurement where analogue raw value is in degrees x 10 Printout attached AttachmentSCALE.pdf (463 Downloads) |
