Dear Expert, We have a belt conveyor with Proximity fitted with sproket in our Saw Mill. My Problems is I want to pause the speed let say conveyor 1 if conveyor 2 stop from any reason, for your information conveyor 2 fitted with proximity. I can able to monitor the signal of conveyor 2 proximity switch at PLC variable table i.e. true/false continuously. What I have to implement in coding is that if the proximity signal is not coming continuously i.e. Conveyor 2 stop running from any reason so that I can able to pause conveyor 1. I am new to the PLC World. Any suggestion will be highly appreciated. Thank you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hello Bimbo1, I would use the TimerP block (from APL) with the "Mode = 4" (more Information about the TimerP block you can get here) and the SelA02In for the Setpoint of the Motor block. (See the attachment) At the input "Ti" from the TimerP block you set the time after that conveyor 1 stop when the TRUE/FALSE signal doesn't come continuously. Normaly the continuously signal comes and the "Out" output of the TimerP block is "TRUE" so the "SelA02In" block uses the normaly setpoint. But when the continuously doesn't come TRUE longer as the time at the input "Ti" the "Out" output switch to "FALSE" and the SelA02In uses the "In1" so the new setpoint for the conveyor 1 is 0.0.
