I have been working with card 331-7KB02-0AB0 where are 2 analog inputs with 12 bit convertor. 12 bit convertor resolution is input value divided 4096. If we are looking to value coming out there is 27648 value if we working with unipolar signal. I am courious to know what the reason to get so high resolution in output when the input is so low resolution? Does it mean ADC of the card having some integration when inputs is drifting? Like to supports value between two values resolution of the inputs?Like named it how much time we are in one of the value comparing with next value and by this comparison estimate value between values of normal digital conversion. Hello Joseph; Look at the chapter on analog value representation in this manual, you should get a good overview of how Siemens standardizes analog readings: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/us/en/view/8859629 The basic idea is to make any reading in any S7-300 analog module correspond to a fixed measurement standard, whatever the resolution of the channel.
