I have a series of machines that are equipped with some older flexpanels that are programmed in WinCC Flexible Advanced (under Simatic Manager). For 2 of the emergency stops the Alarm texts have been switched so I need to switch them back. Where in my WinCC Flexible Advanced editor can I find the alarm texts (IE NØDSTOP AKTIVERET PÅ HOVEDTAVLE) so I can do this job? From where in my WinCC Flexible Advanced editor do I download the changes to the panel? Attachmentold flex.zip (383 Downloads) |

Hello, It seems that alarm text is made in Step 7 software. To understand, please read the following link: see point # 3 "Create message text" to know where is the text is written in the Step7 program. Hope this helps. |

Hello Ayman Elotaify, Thank you for answering. Please see my screenshot. From your link: "Start WinCC flexible ES by "right-click on WinCC flexible RT > Open Object". Under "Communication > Connections" you activate the connection already created. Open the dialog "Messages > Settings > Alarm Settings". Activate the Alarm_S alarm procedure by selecting the display classes." I read this and tried to follow but I cannot see "Messages"?

Hello Wizard, Thank you for answering again. Please see the attached screenshots. I am glad to hear the alarm texts is in the S7 project - but how do I find them in the project? I do not need to set this up but I need to switch two texts in the setup we have now.

Hello Prof. Frink, Thank you for answering again. Please see attached screenshots. We are on the right track - that way I can pick between several standard messages. But the messages I need to swap are NOT standard messages (they are even in the Danish language). So - where do I find and edit the customized alarm messages?

Hello Prof. Frink and Wizard, Please alse see the attached screenshots. Thank you for answering again. In the screenshots I can see that it is picking an alarm text from the language DB - but is that the ALM_1 >ALM_94 DB's? I HAD already looked at the column "Message text" but the content there looks identical for all the alarm incidents DB61 (ALM_1) - DB164 (ALM_94). I made a list of some of them: DB61 ALM_1 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB62 ALM_2 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB63 ALM_3 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB64 ALM_4 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB65 ALM_5 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB66 ALM_6 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB67 ALM_7 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB68 ALM_8 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB69 ALM_9 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB70 ALM_10 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB71 ALM_11 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB72 ALM_12 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB73 ALM_13 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB74 ALM_14 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB79 ALM_19 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB81 ALM_21 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB91 ALM_31 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB101 ALM_41 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB111 ALM_51 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB121 ALM_61 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB131 ALM_71 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB141 ALM_81 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB149 ALM_89 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB160 ALM_90 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ DB164 ALM_94 @1I%t#Alarm_1_DK@ So - how does this result in different alarm texts and where can I finde the texts and swap 2 of them? I will certainly try to read Section 3 in FAQ 24013249 again but it is not obvious to me what the meaning is.

Hello xmnj, Please see the attached picture. Open the message configuration of the FB or of the instance DB with a right-click (Special Object Properties > Message...). Hope this helps. Attachmentmsg.zip (258 Downloads) |
