I think you have not defined the start picture. Run the OS project editor on the client. |

valmet: The statement made earlier that the start picture is defined in the server is wrong! Every WinCC project whether client or server (or single station) has a start picture. I recommend that you create a test WinCC client project so that you understand what exactly is a start picture. The attached document describes the step-by-step procedure. Hi! Often incorrect Network Adapter settings in Simatic Shell settings cause issues like this. On the server and client computers, open Windows Explorer. Select "My Computer" and choose "Simatic Shell". Right click on the computer name in the middle pane and select "Settings". Make sure the ip address of the Terminal Bus Network Adapter is highlighted in Blue. Also Make sure that all unused network adapters are disabled.
