The documentation for the TC module tells you the valid values and the wire-break values. You can do a simple limit check for the wire-break values since they are WAY out of range for what any TC can read.

Hi Huggy, I am aware of that limit check. what i had seen sometimes is that it is not going to that high values, but giving some values within the range which is not the wirebreak value. So I just think that limit check maybe not helpful at times. That is why I am emphasizing on OB82 solution. But It also seems hard for me to understand how to pick up two or more channel wirerbreak. Also If someone can share a sample program to read more than two errors will be great. Not the multi error concept in OB82, it just gives a general error term. Thanks, jay

hi huggy, This RALRM Instruction is supposed to be used inside OB82 right? If it's the case, how can it detect two channels when OB82 can only do only one. Maybe my bad, is there any channel specific instructions available in S7-1200. I am just using an add on module with 4XTC AI module. Not and IO device extension. Whether it makes any difference?
