How to communicate HMI and PLC in TIA14 using simulation mode?

Plc used: s7 1200 1212c dc/dc/dc HMI: kp 1200 comfort. we tried with following methods but cant able to create communication. 1. we tried with Pg/Pc interface with s7 online->PLCSIM TCP/IP. 2. PLC got downloaded in simulation mode and when we put in a simulation it went to simulation but the thing is that it wont communicate with PLC. It shows like ##### in the screen. 3.After that we tried with Real PLC S7 1212c we made a PG/PC settings correctly. PLC got downloaded with real PLC after that we put HMI in simulation it went to a simulation but again it shows like the ###### in the screen. Please help us to establish communication between PLC and HMI. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from PC station Communication with S7 1200 in wincc TIA.

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 11/18/2024 Posts: 14181 Rating: (1774)	Hello sharfras two things you have to check: - Look in the Connections Editor of your HMI Panel-> in the middle Screen you can see the Access Point of the Ethernet Connection. As default there should be S7ONLINE if you have something else here like S7ONLINE1 or something then it won´t work until you change it to default or you create this Access Point in PGPC Interface settings - https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109742764 (- and of course you should check all the basics like security Settings of the PLC, visible Attributes in the DBs and so on ...) Best regards, Wizard Hi, 1)In a simulation mode ,i set pg/pc settings as PLCSIM tcpip .After that its get downloaded. 2)With real PLC i set pg/pc setting as Intel(R)PRO/1000 MT Network Connection.TCPIP1. In both cases PLC gets downloaded but the problem is with HMI. After PLC gets downloaded I put a HMI in simulation,it go into simulation but it does not communicate with PLC.In HMI screen it shows like ####. In my TIA portal when i click HMI , START SIMULATION icon is showing but START RUNTIME ON THE PC icon is not showing.

Sometimes the accesspoint was named S7ONLINE1 instead of S7ONLINE Regards Christoph

ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 11/18/2024 Posts: 22453 Rating: (3030)	Hello, the SIEMENS SW have no direct access to the HW Interfaces, for this a component named "Device Drivers" are implemented which support the access to the HW Interfaces(Network cards, CP...). This Drivers have defined Access Entries like S7ONLINE. The SW know that the AccessPoint is S7Online without any knowledge which HW Interface is configured for this. If no another name is used like S7ONLINE1 then the device drivers doesn't know this and can't communicate. Regards Chistoph

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 11/18/2024 Posts: 14181 Rating: (1774)	Hello Sharfras ChristophD has almost said everything I´d like to add only a small thing. -> S7ONLINE is as Default Access Point created on every Station and its the Default value in an HMI Connection, so in almost every case it works with it. But of course you could create your own Access Points (you need this for some special Usecases) in the "set PGPC Interface! or "ComSet" Dialog. so if you would create the S7ONLINE1 and connect it in the right way then it would also work. But then you have to know what you are doing. In This Case and in almost 99% other cases use S7ONLINE Bye Murof

I made one connection into plc and hmi panel, I have a real plc, I download program to the plc, I made screen with two displays, I compile, all ok, I start simulation, then the two display are ####. What is the problem. I have experience in other version of tia portal Step7 an win cc. Operation system is: Win 7 proffesional sp1 Thank you so much I Attach diferente points.
