Hello! See an example in the attachment (This is a clipping from a classic program (it doesn’t matter if you use STEP7 or TIA PORTAL- the parameters are the same)) Generally: Not in all modules, an open or short circuit can be controlled (both to ground and to the supply wire) - however it is possible (more about this below) Read the manual below: SIMATIC S7-300 S7-300 Module data Read Attentively about digital modules with diagnostic and diagnostic interrupts (for both digital and analog) ***************** For example, a clipping from the manual: Table 3- 14 Diagnostics Messages of the SM 321; DI 16 x DC 24 V, causes of error and troubleshooting Short-circuit to M at sensor supply ---> Eliminate the short-circuit ***************** In fact, "M" is "mana" - this is the GROUND - usually the minus of the power supply is grounded - or the minus of the module itself is connected to the ground (For some modules, this is also written in the manual that I attached) You should also use resistance (10kOm - 18 kOm) in case of detection of sensor breaks (Typically for digital inputs) - this is also in the manual That is - this is what you need) (I hope I helped you) |
