Connecting Server and Client with different Versions

Ebrahim_1 Posts: 79 Rating: (1)	this new client was done in windows 7 instead of the windows xp virtual machine and it worked. the way it was done I downloaded wincc v7.0 SP2 update 1 for it work. I also downlaoded MS SQL 2008 seperatley becuase siemens only offered 2005 on their disk. The server also has V7.0 SP2 update 1 my question if my server has only V7.0 without the SP2 and update 1 will windows 7 client withv7.0 SP2 update 1connect to the server?

Ebrahim_1 Posts: 79 Rating: (1)	general info for everyone. you still have to map to the hmi server from the client. you will be asked to enter the server user and password. Healthcheck, I think i can connect to the server. Look at the attachent line 201 wincc/server V7.0 is compatibile with wincc V7.0 SP2 these tables are from siemens website.
