MOVING DATA IN DATA BLOCK

Hi,

I am having problem with moving data into data block one by one at regular intervals.There are around 1200 entries of data in one day & i want to move that 1200 entries in one data block & i want to use that DB for further use.I don't have any idea about how i can move that in DB with incrementing DB addresses.

If anybody have any idea please tell me

1. What type of CPU do you use?
   
   
2. Why don't you use mass data transfer at the end of period you want.
   
   
   
3. It is also possible to use mass data transfer with calculationg source and destination addresses for S7-300/400 and even S7-1200.That is possible to make small parts of data and transfer them with dynamic addresses.

Hi,

4.I meant moving data is i want to read the barcode data & other parameters related to process & i was concated that data in string but my data for each reading is different & i want to store all the data of barcode & other parameters in one DB but at different addresses of DB(means in increasing order of address for each reading).

if you have any doubts regarding my explanation then please reply i will explain the logic.

You can extract the data from your string using the extended instructions LEFT, MID, RIGHT. Is this what you are looking for?

If your input string is always the same format/structure you can use LEFT, MID, RIGHT to extract thedata you want and then place your data in the desired location inside your db.


To place the extracted data at regular time intervals in your datablock, you can write someSCL code. For example this code copies integer value at input every x seconds (TimeInterval_sec integer) to the datablock. After each copied value we increment the index.

But i don't know anything about scl programming,i didn't inderstand the code.

And i don't want data to be placed in DB at regular time intervals i made program for triggering data when i require,i only want to place that data in DB by cyclic manner one after another.If you can send me any backup please send.

This code moves an analoge value to an address inthe datablockwhen atriggerbit is set. Then increases the address by 1 (next address). Again, not the best in SCL, so the script is probably more complicated then it should be.
