GoForIT Posts: 352 Rating: (7)	Hi folks I've got a problem using WinCC as an OPC server. I administer the server using RDP client and when disconnect the session, the OPC server seems to stop. In DCOM settings 'interactive user' is set as default (see attached picture). If I change this to 'This user' everything is working but WinCC seems to override this setting each time runtime starts and put it back to 'Interactive users'. OPC client is running on another computer and I can't use UA. Does anyone know how to configure this? Settings is possibly in SOPCSRVR.ini, but I can't find any documentation on the parameters in this file. Anyone?? O Attachment OPCServer.jpg (736 Downloads)

You should try to use Real VNC for the remote administration of the Server. see FAQ "How can you access WinCC stations remotely?" http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/78463889 Regards Georg Berghof
