can anyone explain to me why I can't edit user defined attributes in data block (picture in attachment)

I am using DWord4400 for alarm delay (PT on on-delay timers), and I want it to be accessible from the panel with low and high limit value.

Those "user attributes" cannot be adjusted in the S7-1200.
There are a few functionality that you can not adjust.
I have not yet found any of those that hampers program development.

You can still set limits to this adjustment.
Make the limits in the HMI.

* The variable already has permission to link with the HMI. But check under the security setting of the PLC (under hardware configuration / protection) that the HMI has permission to talk to the PLC. If it is a 3rd party screen - check also PUT / GET functionality (CPU1200, FW4).

* Change the data type to TIME for the variable.

* Create the variable in the HMI. If using a 3rd party HMI, the data type will be "DINT" if they do not have TIME.

* Set the limits in the attributes of the variable that is created on the HMI.
