Non-displayed alarm messages on HMI Alarm View

Hello,

I have an issue of no alarm message/description being displayed on HMI Alarm View for an acknowledged alarm. My application uses PLC alarms instead of HMI alarms and is developed using Simatic TIA Portal v13 SP1.

To generate and ackowledged an alarm, the following instruction (in SCL language) is used:

#T_nRetVal := ALARM_DQ(SIG := #Alarm_Status,

                                                 ID := W#16#EEEE,

                                                 EV_ID := #Event_ID,

                                                 CMP_ID := W#16#0001,

                                                 SD := #Tag_Index);

#T_nRetVal := ALARM_SC(EV_ID := #Event_ID,

                                               STATE => #Ret_Val_State,

                                               Q_STATE => #Ret_Val_Q_State);

For triggered alarms, I can get the relevant alarm message on HMI Alarm View for incoming or outgoing alarms, but no alarm message is displayed for acknowledged alarms.

Instead of re-creating all alarms as HMI alarms, I would like to know whether there are some ways to resolve this issue or perhaps other PLC instruction(s) or different way to program it. Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

If you want to display the Alarm_DQ, an alarm display must have been configured

in your project. In this alarm display, the alarm class “System_Acknowledgement”

must be activated for the ALARM_DQ.
