WinCC Runtime Hangs

Hi,

We have a  SCADA running on WinCC 6.2. Recently we updated some functions and when running the new backup, the runtime hangs within the first 10 minutes of running. It gives a message that saysdumping process script.exe to <location>

We know that the problem is not with the project or scripts as it is running completely fine on the production system but it hangs on the client's system.

We have checked all licenses and functions. The diagnose folder does not contain a script.log file.

The PMDiagnose.log file contains the following messages

This is an urgent requirement as it is a running system and needs to be rectified immediately. Any help would be very appreciated.

Anyways, It seems like the your runtime lost connection to its database. Probably the runtime was not switched off properly, so the SQL databse get corrupted. If you are confident, there are a few things you could consider to do:

• reset_wincc.vbs
• restart the windows
• manually stop and start SQL server
• Restore your application on a fresh windows installatiion

Thanks for the response. Will look into it.

An older version of the project is running perfectly on the same installation. Might it be some machine specific configuration that causes script.exe to crash?
