Profibus communication, SF and BF1 Faults light show

hi,

I have S7 CPU315-2DP and profibus network is 200-220meters long. I want to use Profibus(1)  master 1 and Profibus(2) master two in net work at CPU315-2 Dp mean MPI/DP and DP.

After I down load hard ware configuration in CPU. SF and BF1 Faults light show at CPU and MPI/DP port net work is not working and no communication, but CPU is run light.

What I need to do hard ware configuration?

What Baud Rate is set in PB-master(CPU)?

I guess 200-220m is to long for the actually set Baud-Rate. Set a lower Baud-Rate.

Tha acceptabel line length of a PB-DP network you will find here:

BF-LED is a Bus-Fault. So when the line-length is not the problem check the wiring and the termination resistors.

Hi KyawHS,

U should connect profibus nodes one by one and not all nodes in single attempt. Also do not download PLC program and just download HW config.

If u have followed this procedure and still problem persists then reduce baud rate.
