SQL server 2014 standard edition (wincc) installation failed.

Hello experts,

I am trying to install wincc 7.4 sp1 into a Windows 7 professional sp1 system, 64 bit. During installation, SQL server 2014 standard edition (wincc) failed to install and the setup was closed. I searched the forum and found some solutions like creating new user accounts. But it didn't work for me. Can anyone suggest any other solution?

Also How can I know what error is causing this? The setup just closes by displaying the error attached as photo below. I would like to know the specific error, like a log or something.

When I started installation, it said some things like- message queue system not enabled, IIS not enabled, asp.net etc. So I enabled them from "programs and features". I don't know if I did them correctly or not. Will this affect SQL installation? 

Please help someone.

Hi draacula,

do you install your WinCC V7.4 Sp1 from the WinCC DVD or you copy the installation programs on a drive.
You have to install WinCc from your DVD or iso image, in other case the installation of sql Server stops.

I have copied the files to system and tried to install from there. But I succeeded installing this way in my company laptop. Anyway, I'll give it a try from the .iso image.

Trying to install SIMATIC Wincc flexible 2008 incl. SP5 in windows 10 64 bit OS machine.   

During installation, SQL server 2014 sp2 expr3ess edition (wincc) failed to install and the setup was closed.

Can anyone suggest any other solution?

The definitive solution!  
If you move your installation files into the 
"C:\Users\Public\...." folder, 
the installation completes without any problems.
