Good morning folks,

I need some help converting some projects from STEP7 V5.5 to V5.6... What´s the correct way to do migrate a project?

When I try to open the V5.5 project in V5.6, it comes with several errors in device integration, like "The specified device is not integrated or not correctly integrated"

Should I export the GSD from the original projects, Save as... -> With reorganization (slow)? 

I´m kinda lost in those procedures, and I dont want to mess up with the hardware configuration of my projects?

Unfortunately my internet is pretty bad today, I cant send image! 

the PDM used in the original machine was V6+SP5, but now I´m configuring in a new machine with PDM9.1.6.

The error when opening is related to device integration "specified device is not integrated or not correctly integrated", how can I browse those GSD used in the original projects? Should I install PDM6+SP5 first with STEP5.6 and afterwards install PDM 9.1? 

I´m lost in those procedures...

I´m afraid that when opening in V5.6, because it complained about the specified device is not integrated or not correctly integrated, i miss some devices from my configuration!

hi,

like Christoph wrote, there is no need to migrate.

But it seems that your project needs some SW-packages or GSD-files installed, that where installed in your old version 5.5.

You can check for neccessary SW-packages in the project-properties.

Another doubt that I have when opening project is that when I install PDM 9.1, it comes with several devices integrated, could cause conflict in devices version in hw configuration?

sorry for some many questions, but I dont want to miss a thing...

I want to be able to see all my devices from the original project in V5.5 in V5.6, using PDM 9.1. 

At last, a cause of the problem could be related of some devices that were removed from the plant, but not correctly removed from the project. Should I use the option Save as, and reorganize later?

This reorganization might lose some data from my project?
