SFC 20 SOURCEBLOCK

Hi Experts,

I'm new to Siemens controller. We are using an S300 controller with Step 7 manager ver. 5.5 program. I'm trying to trace the source of the data of DB4999 (see below picture) using the "Go to >> Location" but I can only find it in this single network. I can monitor the DB4999, which is a UDT derived data block and find the data are normally updating. The data in the destination block (DSTBLK) is moved by SFC20 once the part is detected by the sensor in the succeeding conveyors. The purpose of moving the data is to track the location and the quality of the part. There are 10 conveyors and each conveyor has a corresponding data block (DB) that is updated thru conveyor signal and SFC20. My only concern is to locate the source of data that is sent to DB4999.

Did you try search db4xxx.dbx0.0 with the option overlapping addres checked?

If still nothing found it could be some other device, like other plc. HMI, or server is writing to your db.

Do you know what devices are connected?

Without the program it's only guessing here.
