WinCC Client Pictures Not Displaying

KevC. Member Joined: 10/30/2008 Last visit: 2/11/2025 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi, I am attempting to set up a test PCS 7 V7.0 system in our office. The system consists of an ES/OS station and 1 OS Client. The AS is being simulated by S7-PLCSIM.I created a new project using the manual "PCS 7 V7.0 Getting Started - First steps in PCS 7". I modified the project in the manual to be a multi-user system with 1 client. The OS station appears to be working correctly. I activated the project (WinCC V6.2 SP2) and all pictures are functional. Alarm messages on the server are displayed on the client however I cannot get the pictures for Unit_A and Unit_B to display on the OS Client. The start picture @screen.pdl displays and there is an option to click on theUnit_A & Unit_B area buttons as shownin attached image,but clicking on them doesn't display the pictures. There aren't any error messages either. I 'Generated Server Data' for the server and 'Assigned OS Server' to the client in Simatic Manager. I also downloaded the project to the client from Simatic Manager. I am using the same user account on both server and client and the both the server and client computers are listed in the computer section of WinCC. Both server and client systems are running on Windows XP. I am new to PCS 7 and WinCC and was wondering are there any diagnostic tools I can use or can anyone think of something I might be missing? AbdulRehman Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hi , The same problem i am facing .At client site, there are only container shown and no pictures,I have tried by running OS editor from ES by opening client OS and download it to target station but not appearing pictures. . . if anyone has solution then reply Regards, AR

AbdulRehman Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have not created the containers and even pictures on client station ,i just downloaded the client OS from ES .Where i OS client is assigned to server .When I run the program on Client only container dispalyed. Is this the problem of package file ? One more thing,When saw the server data on client ,in which no server is selected in TAGS,PICTURES,ALARM LOGGING etc.I connected all these to present server. Why i have to connect it from client site ?But i have download it from ES ,it should be connected to the server.Is this isright? When i run the program again,no picture is displyed Regards, AR

efka Posts: 799 Rating: (43)	Dear AbdulRehman, in your first post, you wrote, that you've created the serverdata. Have you also loaded the data on the client? If yes, I think, that the package should be ok (you can do a test by recreating the serverdata and loading the new version on the OS) Have you configured the containers with the picture tree manager? best regards

AbdulRehman Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Ya i have created the heicharchy by CFCs and assign it to OS client (not copied) on ES After number of testing ,I got solution.When I download the OS client from ES,only container displayed but when i access the server package file from client station and replace it with previously dowloaded pakage file .the pictures appear.I think,this is problem of package file ,now when i made any chages to server and then download to client ,it appears on client too. But i did'nt understand the problem when i first download the OS client.why the pictures not appearing? Regards, AR

Nice, that it works now regards Hi, From Windows Explore try to open the Server, if it will ask for the User & password give it, then try to run the OS Client ...
