converting byte inputs to individual boolean inputs?

Peter S Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi, I am running PLCSIM v.5.3 in conjunction with STEP 7 lite. PLCSIM only lets me create byte sized inputs. I want to do ladder logic instructions on boolean inputs, but this is impossible unless I can convert the BYTE size to boolean inputs. I have searched all the manuals thoroughly and found nothing on this subject.Could anyone help me in converting these byte inputs to individual boolean inputs? Splitted from Converting Analog Input Interger to 8 bit hexadecimal.

Peter S Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	When I type in the symbol table "Input 1 (symbol) IB0.0 (address) It autocorrects the address to "IB0" I am assuming that the symbol table is constantly checking your inputed addresses and comparing them to the actual inputs from the online CPU

Marcjan Diamond Member Joined: 4/22/2010 Last visit: 3/31/2025 Posts: 5697 Rating: (716)	Please make a screenshot to explain a bit more, i think you are mixingup a few things and do not really understand what your problem is. you are talking about the symbol table, that table does not check your real inputs in cpu, it's more a tool to document your program. If youy want to access the bit address of any input or output.It should as shown below, I 0.0 //IB 0.0 will give error Q 0.0
