Compiling file created in Tia Portal V11 on V12

solnaveen Member Joined: 10/11/2013 Last visit: 12/12/2025 Posts: 3 Rating: (1)	Hello Fellow Siemens Colleagues :) Im hoping someone can help me, I have a S7-1200 PLC with KTP600 HMI. My colleague in Germany has created modules that allow us to use this combination with our LMV5 burner management system. My colleague has created this software in Tia Portal V11, and he can compile the files and download them to the PLC/HMI with no problems. The problem is that when he sends me the files here in the UK, I try to compile the files in Tia Portal v12 I get errors, even when I use the Upgrade function. I have attached a screen shot of the errors that I get, could someone help a distressed Siemens Colleague!!!! (Just for information, I and my colleague work for Siemens Building Technologies, specifically the OEM Heat Control Systems division within the CPS division.) Thanks in advance for any support. v.kerstholt Posts: 58 Rating: (9)	because you migrate the file to v12. it's probally a bug in the migration tool. dit you archive the file to .zip11 and then retrieve it in v12? or just migratethe .ap11 file? does the solution work?
