Think I am experiencing a similar problem. While on Node-Red I tried to update the palettes avialable and it did not react at all (rebooted and it is still the same, not updated).

Also, apparently  it does not show any errors while installing, they just do not install at all (see images attached).

I tried to install the "node-red-contrib-sensor-ds18b20" node.

any suggestions?

can you specify this a little more? 

Which nodes do you want to install and which do cannot be installed? Which error message does appear? 

When you name the nodes I can try to do that on my own and see what it going wrong.

I just tried it with some random ones and that worked.
