Hello TomGWarrior, You've given some indication as to what you're observing and concerned with. What is probably the cause of your problem is a misunderstanding of the use of Simodrive 611 drives. Important: The mains feeding the Infeed Module must bea wye-connected grounded neutral configuration. The grounding of your system must be done in accordance with the Simodrive 611D Configuration Manual (found at www.automation,siemens.com/doconweb). If you do not have a wye-connected grounded neutral feeder, you must use an isolation transformer which does have a wye-connected grounded neutral secondary and the center tap of the wye needs to be connected to a new ground at the machine. This will most likely solve your problems. The Simodrive 611 drive system will identify ground faults and it will shut the drive down. Hope this helps... |
