Do you also change the HMI itself to new hardware, or do you only want to upgrade the project and use the old hardware? There are some dependencies between TIA version and supported HMI/Panel versions. Some HMI/Panels can be upgraded to new image versions, some older panels are not supported anymore in total. But as you also not posted any specific requirements and currently used versions, as well as basic/comfort/andvanced..... regards sancruz

qwazee Platinum Member Joined: 3/30/2020 Last visit: 11/4/2024 Posts: 4924 Rating: (1006)	I assume you are using TIA Portal V13 SP1 or SP2 as the original project. - Open the project in TIA Portal V17. Allow the software to upgrade the project file. - Right click on the HMI project and select the version change. The process works the same as for the PLC version change. ie. select the HMI and version you wish to upgrade to. Figure 1. Select change of HMI version. - Downloading the HMI will cause the software to ask you if you wish to upgrade the image / firmware version in the HMI. State specifics if you are stuck somewhere. Screen captures are welcome to highlight the doubts you ar4e facing.

Sorry for my question. I dont have vast knowldege in HMI hardware part.
