FuriousRage Bronze Member Joined: 9/2/2012 Last visit: 6/3/2019 Posts: 176 Rating: (16)	Hi, we have a project where the customer wants to use a S7-1200 CPU and we have come up with that we would need to use a Panel PC for the project combining some omron-parts into the HMI. The thing that is little confusing is the licence stuff and the description of the IPC 277D. Our supplier lists the information as SIMATIC IPC277D (PANEL PC) 2 X 10/100/1000 MBIT/S ETHERNET RJ45; 3 X USB V2.0 (HIGH CURRENT); 1 X SERIAL (COM1); COMPACTFLASH; 24V DC POWER SUPPLY 7" TOUCH; INTEL ATOM E640 (1,0 GHZ), 1 GB RAM; Remanence; 50GB SSD SATA (SLC); XP PROF.MUl PREINSTALLED ON SSD; W/O RTX/HMI The bold here, are we correct to assume that we WILL need a seperate license för the HMI on the panel. I know from readingthis thread, that we still can use out Wincc Flex V5.5 to program the HMI, however, do we need the V11 to program the S7-1200?

It can be WinCC flexible 2008 SP3 RT license and you need WinCC flexible 2008 SP3 Advanced to program a project. Or is can be WinCC V11 Runtime Advanced license and then you need WinCC V11 Advanced to program. When you use S7-1200 you need TIA Portal Basic v11 or TIA Portal Professional v11 And in this case I would suggest to use WinCC V11 Advanced to program a HMI. (Because itwill integrate in TIA Portal v11) Best regards, Wizard
