I just start installing TIA Portal V16 with STEP 7 Professional, WinCC Advanced for S7-1200 + KTP700 (6AV2 123-2GB03-0AX0).

All are V.16.

I am testing out the KTP700 basic panel, but I have an error saying:

The image file C:\Program Files\Siemens\Automation\Portal V16\data\him\transfer\16.0\images\KTP700\KTP700_V16_00_00_00.fwf for the HMI device is missing.

Also, when I load and want to download a program, it is saying:

An older incompatible firmware image exists on the target device. If you update the operating system update, recipe data, user data and some system settings could be deleted permanently.

It is allowing me to choose "Fit" and "Upgrade". But the upload will fail do the same missing image error.

I looked on DVD 2, but there isn't a clear *.exe that will install the correct files for me. (In fact, during installation it never asks for DVD2. Not sure why.)

I looked on the mini CD came with the panel, it contains a 300MB+ tar ball, but the file name is "Basic_Panel_V13_SP1_OSS_archives", which seems not V16 file that I need.

 If I pop DVD1 back and try to repair the install, in the SIMATIC WinCC Advanced -> SIMATIC WinCC Panel Images, it is not available because:

So that's not DVD2, right? I have a DVD for SIMATIC S7-PLCSIM V16 and SINAMICS Startdrive V16. So that's not those. It is also no the mini CD. Should I have that DVD?

On the DVD2, I have:

AuditViewer_V72 and Upd1

SIMATIC Migration Tool TIA V16

SIMATIC ProSave V16 (which looks like it was already installed)

TIA Portal Cloud Connector V1.1 SP3

TIA Portal Project Server V16

TIA UMC V2

TIA Updater Corporate Configuration Tool V2_5

TIAADMIN V10

So which one should I install?

sometimes I end up in the wrong FAQ when clicking a link, sometimes it works.

You may search the internet for "SIMATIC STEP 7 inkl. Safety und WinCC V16 TRIAL Download" and find the way to FAQ ID 109772803. There you find the DVDs for download.

Consider that some software packages are export restricted. Your account has to be registered and approved which may take a few days.
