Did you have the manual for the TP177A? http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/21084461/0/en What settings did you use at the Panel and PLC? Did you have this problem with other panels too? It it s your first project?

Kolma Posts: 57 Rating: (1)	No this is not my first project, but I was told (by Siemens guys)that it could be connected on profibus, but when I tried to configure it I couldn't. Also I looked into the manual and I didn't see it could be done. So obviously I was misled. But also on the back side of TP by the connector is text DP/MPI/PPI. Bye, Kolma

If you can't connect by the profibus (even if it's told on the screen) try with the MPI setting. This will set you back to the sircumstance that youagain been able to reconfigure the port. It realy has an smal fault. We got 2 screens witch we coudn't connect anymore. The discription above did solve the problem. For the experts: isn't it possible that it can't catch the speed after getting something wrong? Best regards, Tommy Huijs
