I am using Simatic Manager V5.6 +SP2+ HF7 and CPU S7-319 firmware version 2.7.2 

and MMC is 2MB,

I want to protect my program using [ Block Privacy] from unauthorized users 

but when I download to CPU, I get this error message " Unable to copy the block "

I created a new simple program just contain OB1 and FB1 with simple bit instruction for testing

but I got the same error, you can see on the attached file,

Kindly I need advice from anyone who see my post and have an idea to solve my problem

Thanks for sharing the link, but I did it before exactly the same as like the video and I was reading the

text explanation one by one and even I changed the CPU mode selector from Run to stop and tried again then got the same error,

my problem is when I download to CPU then I get this error message

I expanded the error message on the button help text 

" D21A incorrect local data length or write protection code faulty " 

so please anyone can help me, thanks to all 

Hi EDBSPW,

I assume that the problem is related to the firmware of the CPU. According to the "CPU 31xC and CPU 31x: Technical specifications" manual, at least firmware V3.2.1 is required to use S7-Block Privacy.

Yes, you are right, yesterday I checked the problem is the Firmware version 

unfortunately, I have to replace my CPU with other one that has a firmware update higher than 

3.0, means firmware update > V3.0 

but I am a bit surprised to Siemens products this type of CPU I mean CPU 319-3 PN/DP doesn't support the Block privacy future while the price may be three times than other old and simpler S7 300 

like CPU314, 

I am Rising this complain or we can say this suggestion to Siemens that to review this because this type of CPU is expensive and still running in more manufacturers and industry scopes, 

anyway, thanks to all of you for supporting me to get the acceptable result

Or this could be due to exceeding the maximum local stack size. The string you have defined is larger than what your CPU can handle.

Please reduce the size and try downloading and testing again.
