How much maximum capacity part program can be run with PCU 50?

PISCEAN 2010 Diamond Expert Joined: 4/23/2010 Last visit: 11/23/2024 Posts: 8092 Rating: (882)	Hello Experts, On one of 6 axis machine with 840Di, PCU 50, how much maximum capacity program can run in AUTO mode. It is displaying free memory capacity as below, Yes I know I can split the programe & load it. Butin one of the critical application, I can not split the programe. Its capacity is more than 200KB. HDD 31,723,664 NCU 114200 On NCU is it possible to increase available memory? If yes how? Thanks in advance. DEEP.

There is a Vertical softkey in the menus labelled "Execute fr. hard disk" This function runs your part programme from the hard disc, automatically transmitting into the nc sections of the part programme as needed. Your part programme size will then only be limited by the Hard Disc, Attached is the section from the Operators Manual which explains how to do this. I checked but I didnot found any vertical softkey as "Exeute from Hard disk" Does it needs to be activated or it is a standard feature? Mr Al Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	The Execute from Hard disk is not a new function. It has been around for a long time. If you look closely at the attached section of the Operators Guide HMI Advanced Manual in my previous reply you will see it is the version from 06/2005. Also the NC 60 Catalogue from 2002 shows it is not an option. It is a "Basic Version" function. So you definitely don't need the latest version of software or hardware. Best Regards Mr_Al

SteveA Posts: 297 Rating: (42)	The function is not available from the Program area. You must go to the Machine screen while in Auto mode, and press the Program Overview button. Exec. from hard disk should be the 5th key down on the right. HTH, SteveA
