Hi.

Why can't I see the absolute addresses in the "Offset" column when using an array in Portal V11?

If I wanted to write a program using indirect addressing, should I count by myself or is there a way to enable (show) this ?

2 things to do : compile the DB; recreate the DB using S7-300 compatible mode (then compile the replacement DB)

In the "Add new block DB" screen I couldn't find any option.

Please, can you guide me ?

Ok, my mistake. In the s7-1200 world, you have the choice to use symbolic (meaning the DB is packed efficiently and perhaps inconsistently, by the plc), or absolute. Absolute mode gives s7-300/400 compatibility, allows for direct db access by offset, but may be more wasteful of memory.

By your question, I can tell you are using TIA Portal Professional V11 on a non-S7-1200 plc (stl is not available on s7-1200 yet).

So, for me, I compile my DB or rebuild all blocks, and the offsets get created.

Maybe it is similar in the pro version.

Sorry, it was my mistake now. I'm using a S7-300 CPU and TIA pro V11 SP2 UPD 5.

I've already tried to recompile and to rebuilt the DB with no success. I can only see the offset as shown at the 1st picture that I had posted before.

Add a new tag after Static_1. You will then see the offset. You can also create 11 individual DWord tags and the offsets for each will appear. The offsets from _within_ the array will not be shown. If you create a structure called Static_1, then create 11 DWords, named Static_1_0, Static_1_1, ... , Static_1_10, and all offsets would then appear if I recall correctly. Structures and individual tags give you offsets. Arrays do not.

Perhaps in V12 that will be changed?

Maybe you can submit a Support Requestasking for a work-around?
