TIA V16: Incompatible device detected

AutoGen_8482406 Joined: 12/9/2024 Last visit: 12/10/2024 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I have a Siemens S7 1200 PLC model CPU 1214 C DC/DC/DC 6ES7214-AG40-0XB0. This PLC was used earlier in a different project. This PLC was dormant for 2-3 months, and just days before today Program Upload was successful from this PLC but now the PLC is showing incompatible message on the download to device menu each time I try to Download with TIA portal V16. Importantly enough this PLC was fully operational just Days Before this problem arose and now both Upload and Download options are showing error messages. I already have the Backup of program with me just suggest any other way to reset the PLC to factory settings from there Upload and Download is possible and Please respond quick My deadline approaches in a few days. Help Siemens HELP! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from PLC Suddenly goes offline and becomes incompatible for online selection. Please use the "Support Request" link to contact Siemens directly. Volunteers help on this forum and our priorities may not match yours. My guessing is that the IP address of the adapter you use is not set in the right range. Or the CPU you have in the project is not the exact match for the physical hardware (check the part numbers). Or the loaded firmware and the project firmware does not match. Consult the online state of the PLC which include descriptions that may help diagnostic analysis. Provided you do have an offline backup.. Attempt to load a clean project to the PLC. You can even attempt to make factory reset. You will need a Siemens Memory Card if you wish to remove _everything_ from the PLC.
