Measure the PWM signal with an o-scope to see verify the following:

f_pwm = 2kHz
Pulse Width varies from 0 to 100% for command of 0-27648 on QW202

Hello everyone. I'm starting the ebmpapst 5314/2TDHHP fan controlled by PWM.

The fan datasheet:

PWM input transistor requirements:

UCEmax. => 12 V; I Sink max. > 5 mA; UCEsat. < 0,15 V

Speed control: By Puls width modulation (PWM) 0 ... 100%

Open collector in relation to signal-ground.

f: 2 kHz +-20%

I used

how-to-control-a-24v-valve-via-pwm-with-the-tm-pulse.

I started it and it works, but the control range is only from 0 to about 20 (Output Value control - QW202), by ear this is its maximum speed.

I set in TP Pulse.

Operating mode: Pulse with modulation PWM,

Parameter:

Output format: Per 100

Minimum duration: 0 μs

Period duration 500: μs.

Manufacturer support said they have no experience with Siemens drivers.

Maybe one of you guys knows how to set it up.

If you have the following, you can make your own:

smartphone with 3.5mm jack with sound/mic
resistors to make a voltage divider
3.5mm jack/cable (like from an old headphone/mic set)
online smartphone app store: Oscilloscope

Do an online search, maybe watch YT video.

Or, ask around and borrow one from nearby Siemens distributor.

Lots of today's multimeters have some level of o'scope functionality, like frequency input, and with some math, you can figure out the 0-100% PWM value.

Do not give up.
