Hi Maximus WinCC 6.2 SP2 supports Windows Xp SP2 only for XP sp3 you MUST install WinCC 6.2 SP3 you can find more details in the attached file Attachment STEP7_Compatibility_en.pdf (106 Downloads)

VGD Posts: 28 Rating: (3)	ranr_mids I had a similar problem, and was informed that the first WinCC version to support XP SP3 was 7.0 SP1... After WinCC 7.0 was released, Siemens released WinCC 6.2 sp3. Maybe you asked it to Siemens between these two releases.

Only you have to a insert newkey in this location with name KB319740. Then restart your system and install WinCC. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP3 I've installed WinCC in my system also which is having XP SP3. It will work.
