i have windows 7 64 bit enterprise edition and i am running step 7 v5.5 in the xp shell. i am however having problems installing the licence with the alm

If you install it under 64 bit (could be possible) isn't guarantee will work properly after. Do you receive any error' messages there? Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

ian salter Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	all i get when i try to install the licence through the alm is a message saying no licences found it allows me to transfer the licence to the c drive within the xp vm shell from microsoft but it does not recognize them within the alm any fixes for this

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	Having Win7 64 Bit just as you, installed (with administrator rights) VMWare Server 2.0, created VM WinXP Pro SP3, installed Step 7 v5.5.0.0 with ALM 5.0+SP1 - have no problems... I don't have any experience with Win7 XP-mode though, but try to help: Please verify that - you have some flash-drive (or whatever) containing license. You can see it - for example on another PC. When entering ALM you can see it in XP-mode and can move it to drive C (btw - try another disks). If you press right-button click on it and "Check" - everything is ok. BUT on starting S7-Manager it says, that no license found - i'm i correct? Did your ALM service started? Also please put here all S7 software you have installed on your PC via Start->SIMATIC->Information->Installed software.
