PRADEEP PRABHU B Posts: 32 Rating: (1)	Hi. All... In analog input module 6ES7 331-7KF02-0AB0 am having problem.. In module information -standard dignostic of module am getting error message as EXTERNAL ERROR FAULTY MODULE CHANNEL ERROR And in Channel specific diagnostic am getting channel 1 and channel 2 parameterisation error... Now can you please tell me i have configured properly it as 4 wire transducer with 4 to 20ma type... Range has default it has taken it as C... I have checked properly there is no fault in the my sensor(LVDT)... I have connected 2 pint M+of the sensor and M- to pin no3.. Same has been done for input 2 ... All other channel connected serially to pin 20... Am getting error as 7fffh... ie A OVERFLOW VALLUE... I have already posted this problem in forum thought it will much more easier with diagnostic data... Wrong Wired Before.. Module was given supply to wrong pin before... Pin 1=24v Pin 10=0v Pin11=24v Pin20=0v.. It was changed later and wired as per details from forum and manual... Is there any effect of this on manual.. Please am stucked up with this problem from fast two days... Waiting for your reply... With Kind Regards Pradeep Prabhu B

SteveA Posts: 297 Rating: (42)	It is possible that you have burned out the 25 ohm current sense resistor used for current measurement. If you get 24vdc across any of the input pins (2-3, 4-5, etc) it will destroy the tiny 25 ohm surface mount resistor for that channel. You can test this by completely disconnecting the module and check the resistance across the input terminals. It should be 25 ohms. If you have any spare channels, you could try switching to a different input. Hope this helps. SteveA
