Downloading of an Uploaded Safety Program in S7-414FH Causes all F Modules to go in SF Mode

Amerbaig Posts: 12 Rating: (2)	Hello, We haveSystems running on S7-414HF, these are connected to third party SCADA over ethernet, Recently we were trying to demonstrate to the client that how remote upload and download can be done from the workstation, in which we first uploaded the programfrom CPU which was successful, when we downloaded the same program back to the CPU all the Failsafe module went in to SF mode, can someone help, what needs to be done, or is this a restriction on our system. We are using the following softwares: Simatic Step7 Prof 5.4 SP6 S7 F V6.1 S7 CFC V7.0 Hardware consists of the following S7-414H ET200M S7300 Failsafe IO Modules, Digital & Analog ET200M S7300Analog Output Module When we download the original offline backup, everything is fine and smooth Awaiting your suggestions. Jazz_M Posts: 1121 Rating: (86)	Hi Well i do not think you can upload and download the Fails safe program from and too the CPU like that once you have compile it in the CFC chart then it will look for the CFC compiler. Have a look at his Link Can you go to Diagnostic buffer and check what error is been given. Have fun...

Amerbaig Posts: 12 Rating: (2)	I want to add the following: 1- We were succesfully able to upload and download the entire program 2- We are using EPROM instead of RAM 3- This is only a test the client wants to do on the remote EWS 4- Apart from this our entire system is 100% functional

Then when you download from online mode and upload the program directly to CPU then problem comes right. It is obvious that there shall be a problem as you have compiled your program using CFC as i said eariler post. I have i missed anything.... Have fun...

Jazz_M Posts: 1121 Rating: (86)	Hi Well it could be that because FH system or the Fail safe program used in CFC. It shoud generate lot of blocks required for fails safe. I think beacuse of that the uploaded program will have error during downloading of the same program. Have fun....
