ALL 32 FUNCTION KEYS ARE NOT WORKING

dasrajib Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	Dear All I have 2 pcs ofSIMATIC OP177B 6" PN/DP. In both the OPs all the 32 FUNCTION KEYS are not woking. If I press any of the FUNCTION KEYS, no action has been performed. This is happening in both the OPs. But TOUCH is working in both the OPs. If they are new Function keys are to be assigned in configurateion as in the post suggestions (screen changes or previous diplay or next display etc.). If they are working earlier and now not funictoning can you check the node detection in HW configuration indicating communication is proper Regards, Vijay

Check node detection procedure: Go to Set PG/PC Interface Connect your PC adapter to CPU profibus port and connect the panel via profibus to this port too. Software downloaded on the panel should containg profibus in communication setting. In set PG/PC interface, select PC adapter (Auto), and click properties. Now click start network detection. The detected nodes will now marked from this wizard. You can try to update the OS and try again. If you are sure that software is ok and you have doubt about this panel (i.e. hardware problem), please contact support and tell him the serial number of the panel. It may be has a problem. For some batch there was problems in this panel and I knew this problem from here: OP177B Hope this helps.

But now not working in both the OPs. That is a bit strange.I suggest writing a support request for that and till receiving remedial instructions use an external keyboard if possible (D:\key_combination.zip ). Also check: OP 277 FUNCTION KEY NOT WORKING
