After updates, issues with user managment / access levels

KMO1988 Member Joined: 2/22/2021 Last visit: 9/5/2025 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi everybody, I hope you can help me out with the following issue; We updated our 1517F-3PN/DP to TIA Portal V20 and also upgraded the FW to 3.1.5. Before this update, we already had protection against unauthorized access by access levels and passwords. "Normally" HMI-access was only possible without password. After the update, we had to implement/adopt the user management restrictions, so we did. But after this, it is not possible to read DB's from the PLC anymore! In my opinion it is because "HMI-access" is chosen in Protection & Security -> Access control, but I can't change this anymore. I also think there is a correlation with "new" user management. Does anyone knows how to fix this, so I can have a logging-application have access to the PLC again? Thanks in advance! Attachment 1500_AccessLevels.png (5 Downloads)
