Hello rusgaz; Hotswap (caled CIR-Configure in runtime- in Siemens parlance) will work with the active bus modules on the ET 200M, if the DP-master is a S7-400 CPU. S7-300 CPUs do not support the required OBs for CIR. There are many types of bus units: Moreover, you can know which type of bus units required for your system from HW config. Please have a look on the attached picture. Hope this helps. |

Hello rusgaz, Although slot 11 is not equipped by any module as per attached picture in my previous post, but you have to use bus unit. You can leave the connectors of the bus unit of the non occupied slot without covers and the better is to use covers for it. Part number of covers is:6ES7195-1JA00-0XA0 Hope this helps.
