Hi guys, I have got Telemecanique TWIDO part number:TWD LCAE 40DRF. Is there anyone has done communication with compact processor of Telemecanique before. The part number i have given isa PLC processor on compact series from Telemecanique with ethernet port for modbus TCP/IP communication. am aware that WinCC V7.0 supports Modbus TCP/IP protocol. Do we have to buy any seperate license for doing this? do we need to buy any seperate software driver to communicate TWIDO with WinCC V7.0? Advance thanks AttachmentTWIDO-TWD LCAE 40DRF document.pdf (307 Downloads) |

Hi WinCC V7 is including the Modbus TCP-driver, you don't need to buy anything additionally. nemo |

Hello, The "Modbus TCPIP" channel is for communication between a WinCC station and PLCs that support Modbus via Ethernet. The communication is handled with the Modbus TCP/IP protocol and the communication driver for channel "Modbus TCPIP" is installed and integrated into the project..... But when you prepare settings in WinCC connection you should select CPU.
Look more info at WinCC: Communication Hope this will helps. Regards, Hristo Mihalev |

Hi again, If we speak for Modbus TCP/IP channel this is include into basic WinCC packet. And after standart installation of WinCC, you should see it into: open WinCC Explorer > Open Tag management > Add new driver > Modbus TCPIP But if we speak for Modbus serial channnel - The "Modbus Serial" channel is not included in the basic package of WinCC. You can procure this channel from the engineering consultants Ingenieurbüro Allmendinger(www.allmendinger.de). Hope this will helps. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev |
