I have come to a site where they was an existing Siemens TP177B touch panel which are now obsolete. The screen had failed and I was struggling to backup/restore the project. I have managed to find another Panel exactly the same and used the SD card to take backup/restore the project onto the new panel (TP177B). I have also downloaded prosave tool and see that if I had a working screen I could have used this method as well. I tried it and was able to connect via Ehternet but that doesnt allow me to edit/upgrade the project it will simply allow me to download this into another exact same panel. I then downloaded and installed WinCC Flexible 2008 edition and the Transfer from button in the loader is present but it will not connect to the TP177B. I went into all the settings for transfer on the TP177B and they appear to be correct because I was able to transfer earlier using the ProSave tool. I removed the SD card read this with my PC and found the file which I then installed into the correct file path of my PC. I can now open the project using START from the loader n Wincc Flexible but cannot make any changes. I want to be able to covert this project to the newer TP700 panel yet without knowing having the orginal project and tags I am finding it extremely difficult to do this. I found the migration procedure on your websites which lists all steps needed to Migrate from TP177b to TP700 but its only referencing screen size. I have also found another option in TIA portal whereby you should be able to use a virtual CPU to do this but my version is TIA portal V15.1 and it doesnt list the older HMI. I have even downloaded every single addon but this still doesnt show up older model HMI's. Firstly any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Baricevic2 If you do not have the original project or not the engineering environment then you can also have a look at this one: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109765132 Bye Murof |
