I installed CP1623 on a Lenovo SR 650 v2 Server with ESXi 8, but the board has not been detected by the server setup. So I cant even see it in the PCI device list in order to active passthrough. Have you ever faced this kind of situation? Hardware Compatibility Check Verify Compatibility: Make sure the CP1623 card is compatible with Lenovo SR 650 v2 Server and ESXi 8. Compatibility issues can arise if the firmware or drivers are outdated or not supported by ESXi 8. Check VMware Compatibility Guide: Verify that the CP1623 is listed as a compatible device for your ESXi version on VMware's compatibility guide. 2. BIOS/UEFI Settings Enable PCIe Slots: Ensure that the PCIe slot where CP1623 is installed is enabled in the BIOS/UEFI. SR-IOV Support: Enable SR-IOV (Single Root I/O Virtualization) if supported by your motherboard. This is important for passthrough. 3. ESXi Configuration Rescan for Hardware: After powering on the server, use ESXi's Rescan Hardware feature under Configuration > Storage Adapters or Network Adapters. Update ESXi: Ensure you are using the latest update of ESXi 8.0, as some hardware compatibility issues are fixed with patches. Passthrough Configuration: Check if passthrough is properly enabled by going to Manage > Hardware > PCI Devices and see if the CP1623 card is listed. 4. Install Drivers Drivers for CP1623: Install appropriate drivers for CP1623 if available.
