CPU 315 process image is half in and half out

autom Posts: 89 Rating: (1)	In a factory,because of work memory i want to change the CPU 315-2DP (6ES7 315-2AF03-0AB0) with a new one CPU 315-2DP (6ES7 315-2AG10-0AB0). So i took upload from the project and when i made compile::: The system data could not be recreated because the configuration is inconsistent.The input address range (address 120, length 16 bytes) must either be fully within the process image position or fully outside it. You also can see that at the attatchment. My question is how so long the project wasfine and know i have problems?? The version of step 7 that i have is 5.4 +Sp4. Any sollutions for that problem, without changing the Hardware Configuration, and the functions that calling the specific PIWs. Thangs a lot. Attachment PO_315.JPG (317 Downloads)

Since (I guess it was Step 7 v5.3 + sp2 ) it is doing some extra checks. And give you an error. Remedy: is to change in Hardware configuration: The address of AI card. Or double click on CPU and go to tab: Cycle/Clock memory: perhaps here you can change the size of Process Image. (so you can use the old addresses) Best regards, Wizard

The mentioned CPU is older for now and as you said you have to change the addresses, which means also a program changes. Regards Sydney
