To make question clear, let say that we have Sentron Pac 4200 and that we connected that device to WinCC Pro. using Modicon Modbus TCP/IP protocol. If I want to send data from WinCC (eg. current, voltage, power) into PLC to make some control, how can I do that? I think that one way is over OPC server, but honestly I've never worked with that. Thank you all in advance and happy New yea.r

Very simple example, in C scripting: void CFunction_1() { float tag_1; // temporary float tag // at first, you should read a tag value, that you want to transfer to your PLC: tag_1 = GetTagFloat ("MyTag_read_from_Sentron"); // now you simply write this to your S7-300 tag, which is a normal WinCC tag, //allready defined! SetTagFloat ("My_S7_300_tag",tag_1); } - first, you have to definea new tag (My_S7_300_tag), with normal tag creation procedure; - then you add new function in C script, as mentioned above - at the end, you add a new Scheduled task, with a trigger f.e.1s; - in this new sceduled task, at Properties ->Events add this new function. The result of this is: - every second (in RT) the value of tag "MyTag_read_from_Sentron" will be copied to "My_S7_300_tag". Have fun! uel123.
