Hi all! I am currently working on a PCS7 Multiproject. 

I inserted a user project into an existing multiproject. Everything is now set and configured. The screens from the user project are now reflecting in the existing multiproject.

However, upon checking the connection from the Tag Management under Named Connection, the status is disconnected. I have already checked the configuration from different manuals. I have also redone the connection in NetPro then recompiled & redownloaded.

Is there any configuration that I missed? Please let me know.

1. Check PC Station Assignment in NetPro

• Confirm that the user project’s OS station is correctly assigned to the PC Station in NetPro.
• Make sure the S7 connection (S7ONLINE) is correctly configured between the AS and the PC Station.

2. Check Multiproject Consistency

• After inserting the user project into the multiproject:
  • Run Project > Check and Compile > Entire Multiproject
  • Watch for warnings about duplicated object names or incorrect assignments.

3. Named Connection Configuration

• In Tag Management:
  • Check that the AS name, connection name, and partner name match exactly (case-sensitive).
  • If referencing AS via a symbolic name, ensure consistency in symbol tables across the multiproject.

4. Correct Download of S7 Program and OS

• After making NetPro changes:
  • Recompile NetPro
  • Re-download both:
    • S7 program to AS
    • OS Project (RT) to the Operator Station

5. Reload Runtime on OS

• Use WinCC Runtime Manager to stop and restart the OS Runtime.
• Alternatively, restart the WinCC Runtime server manually.
