Distributed I/O via PLCSIM

novinha Member Joined: 4/28/2011 Last visit: 6/19/2024 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi, My configuration: CPU315-2 PN/DP & IM151-8 CPU I wanted to test this configuration using ET200 as I-Device, PLC as I/O controller, i tried to configure it in Step7 v5.5 and next in Tia Portal v12, but devices don't comunicate, and compilation is ok. I'm using PLCSIM and I wonder if it isn't a reason why it isn't working. I configured Transfer Areas and all other things according to "SIMATIC PROFINET with STEP 7 V12" manual. When I'm trying to send some data by the PROFINET I/O -System nothing happen. I wonder if there are some example project with similar configuration which works on PLCSIM or it's just impossible to make it work without the existing network connection between devices. I'd appreciate your help! novinha :)

I thought that i have to configure the transfer areas to use the IO's from ET200 in CPU. Maybe your idea is described in some kind of manual? I was looking for it, but i didn't find anything. I'm asking because when I'm adding a profibus slave there is no problem to see its IO, but when I'm adding ET200 to PROFINET IO system the IO's are not reachable. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong, or it is also impossible to simulate it? Thanks a lot again, you're really helpfull.

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	You are right, IO are simulated just the same as CPU. Unfortunately you can't simulate hardware features of module (any modules, not only IM 153) - for example SFC51 for DP slave wont give you anything.
